Brownies are aged 7 to 10 years old.

Brownie units are usually for a maximum of 24 girls and the girls work together in small groups called Sixes.

The girls have a choice of uniform ranging from a short sleeved or long sleeved t-shirt, a zip up jacket, trousers, leggings, cycle shorts or a skort.   There is also the choice of a sash or gilet for Brownies to sew and pin their badges onto.

Brownies have lots of fun working together in their unit on a wide range of fun activities.    Visits and outings are often arranged and a lot of Brownie units go away on indoor pack holidays or camps.

Brownies make this simple Promise that they share with members around the world:

I promise that I will do my best:
To be true to myself and develop my beliefs,
To serve the Queen and my community,
To help other people
To keep the (Brownie) Guide Law.

Brownie Guide Law

A Brownie Guide thinks of others before herself and
does a Good Turn every day.
